A Degree of Mastery: A Journey Through Book Arts Apprenticeship

A quiet, short memoir of learning to be a rare book preservationist and bookbinder, a noble profession in my opinion. This is nice biographical writing but more interesting to me for its detailed description of how you fix old books: very carefully, sometimes by disassembling and washing the pages before stitching them back together.
