You need a kettle with a narrow spout. Pour the water in drops. One drop at a time. *Drop drop drop.* Take it easy, don't let yourself rush. Gradually nudge the drops together into a chain. *Drop-drop-drop-drop-drop.* Finally, allow the drops to merge into a thin stream. A bit of string. Imagine the coffee falling from the bottom of the filter, and match that pace.
