A brief, enjoyable overview of economic theory, with a focus on the Great White Men who defined each intellectual era in economics. Lots of interesting personal details about the economists, and simple explanations of complex theories. I’m not sure about the title, though: there aren’t many new ideas in here, and a few of the economists discussed are still alive.
